Established in 1990 by Owner, Debbie DiFrancesco, Creative Hands began as a company, in Rochester, N.Y.  Having learned sewing from her mother and grandmother, Debbie has been sewing her entire life and creating quilts for more than 40 years.  As a result, she has extensive experience in the home decor industry, thus providing her with an advantage in the custom bedding and quilting industry.

Within its capacity in Rochester, Creative Hands focused on high end window treatments, including a Hunter Douglas Gallery for 15 years.  Additionally, Debbie has written several articles and provided master classes at national and international conferences, with a focus on window treatment fabrication.

In anticipation of her husband, Gary’s retirement and thus moving south, custom quilting services where added in 2021, with the intention of stepping back from window treatments.  Creative Hands is now located in Bristol, Va. and focuses on custom quilting of client fabricated quilt tops and custom bedding for the interior design industry.
